Could use a fridge, tea/coffee making equipment and a dining area, admired views of river. Everything was perfect as expected nevertheless the bathroom I had was dirty. Location was stunning and and tranquil, short walk to the river, from 5 in the morning, Ashtamudi Lake...

A home from home
In general: I have to say this was the best place we stayed in Kerala. It was not just comfortable and clean, spacious and relaxed, but the charming family really made it so special. The mother and her daughter cooked such delicious food and all of them were always ready to chat and made us feel welcome to sit with them in their own home too. All while preparing for their Onam celebrations, which they invited us to share with them. I felt completely at home and secure in the knowledge that they were on hand. There was a scooter and two bikes to use for a small daily charge which was a real treat as Munroe Island is as yet almost unknown so very quiet compared with the larger towns. Location and surroundings: The area of Munroe Island is peaceful and beautiful with backwaters and boats and very colourful houses. Farmers bathe their cows and there is a lighthouse you can climb to see the amazing view at the top. The Eternity Isle Inn is set a few homes back from the waters edge and on a quiet but fairly central road opposite a very good restaurant (although incomparable with the home cooking we received).
